In the last few years, the efforts of our family have been focused on the development of our restaurant as an authentic top-notch culinary establishment. The arrival of chef Vincenzo Di Grande in 2000 helped us achieve this goal, and soon we built a reputation as one of the best restaurants in Tuscany.

Tucked inside the villa, our full-service restaurant offers fresh and expertly prepared, authentic Tuscan fare with gourmet flair. We are culinary enthusiasts in the Tuscan tradition and we deeply pride ourselves on our ingredients using only the freshest meats and produce available. Our menu at Il Colombaio is prepared with a love for, and a deep knowledge of, the local flavors and varietals. The ambience of the restaurant is rustically refined, but the atmosphere is as friendly and familiar as our staff.

The menu of the restaurant is very diverse: we offer a menu inspired by the Tuscany tradition as well as our chef’s original creations which are influenced by the seasons and the best available products. We enjoy cooking for children and we do offer a menu just for them. On request, we are pleased to offer cooking classes in our kitchen with our chef Vincenzo Di Grande. Our classes range from learning how to make authentic Italian pasta to creating dishes in the Tuscan tradition. We also offer a large variety of Italian wines—more than 1000 different labels—but we must admit that we do prefer the wines of Tuscany. We have a passion for the native Tuscan grapes—so much in fact, that we make wine ourselves—and keep a wine cellar with hundreds of the best wines from Tuscany that we’d love to share with you.

If you are staying with us at our villa in Tuscany, you can enjoy our restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All villa guests enjoy special dining privileges including room service without a surcharge. And if your vacation in Tuscany is near Casole d’Elsa, San Gimignano, Volterra, or Siena you will find that our restaurant in Tuscany is worth the trip for either lunch or dinner. If you can’t get to us, don’t worry, we can get to you. If you are with a large group of friends and do not want to leave your nearby villa in Tuscany, contact us and we will deliver our gourmet fare to your doorstep.
