Welcome to Il Colombaio, your villa in Tuscany
Il Colombaio is our beautifully restored farmhouse just outside the medieval town
walls of Casole d'Elsa. Located in the heart of Tuscany, our villa is conveniently
situatied between the scenic cities of Siena, San Gimignano, and Volterra. Our
family, the Benucci Pratelli family, was one of the first families to convert their
residence into a comfortable villa in Tuscany with
well-appointed apartments in 1989. Our
accommodations are furnished with original country pieces, and all come with air
conditioning, cable tv, outside dining tables, and kitchen facilities. Our move to
hospitality was followed by the opening of our fine resturant, aptly named Il
Colombaio, in 1997.
Because we take such pride in our food and wines, we are pleased that our resturant is currently ranked as one of the best restaurants in Tuscany. Because of our attention to detail, we are sure you will discover that Il Colombaio is the perfect villa in Tuscany for your vacation in Tuscany. We take pride in our true Tuscan soul, having strong roots in Tuscany and offering our guests a warm and unique stay: an extraordinary mix of a rustic atmosphere in a stylish villa and restaurant. Our family—Mariva, her parents Erminia and Piero, and her son Dario with their dog Lčon—will make you feel at home in Tuscany from the moment you arrive.
Of course, we are pet-friendly, and we will happily help answer your everyday questions, plan excursions, arrange a wine tour, set-up a cooking class, and organize events for you at the pool or in the gazebo of the villa during the hot summer months. In fact, if you wish to celebrate your wedding in Tuscany, we would be delighted to plan your wedding here with us. We have a private chapel, a beautiful garden and pool, our fine restaurant, and all the best wines in Tuscany kept in our cellar to help make your wedding an unforgetable event.
