When the last farmers left the property at Il Colombaio, Dario decided to leave the family company in
Florence and come back to work at home with his mother and grandparents. As a passionate designer, he
helped give back the villa its old atmosphere by creating a series of simple and charming apartments.
Renting villa apartments in Tuscany is a new form of hospitality—it’s not like staying at a hotel or even a Bed & Breakfast. It’s something much more intimate. Our 8 apartments in Tuscany are furnished with original country pieces, and all come with air conditioning, cable tv, outside dining tables, and kitchen facilities. Our 3 smaller apartments (Forno, Solare, and Romantico) are one bedroom suites, each with a living room where children can sleep comfortably; our 3 medium-sized apartments (Casiere, Panorama, and Belvedere) each have two bedrooms as well as small living rooms; and our 2 large duplex apartments (Tinaia and Fienile) are individual 2 bedroom guest houses that come with large living room/kitchen facilities that could sleep additional guests.
Our apartments are located in the heart of Tuscany where you can easily visit the historic sites at San Gimignano, Volterra, Siena, and Florence or take a day trip out to the coast. At our villa in Tuscany you can relax by the pool, take cooking classes with our chef, and venture out for wine tastings of local Tuscan wines. And since Il Colombaio is one of the best restaurants in Tuscany, it’s nice to know that as our guest you always have special privileges. Of course, if you choose to have your wedding in Tuscany, our villa is perfectly suited for your needs with its own private chapel, an array of apartments to house your guests, a renowned restaurant to cater your affair, and elegant grounds to give you the perfect backdrop for the perfect day.
