Welcome to “Il Colombaio” your holiday home. Located in a small village just outside the walls of the medieval town Casole d'Elsa, in the upper part of Val d'Elsa, on the borders of the province of Siena and not far from San Gimignano and Volterra.
Our house is open all year round and you can come for short stays (weekends for example), week holidays or work stays.
The environment is ideal for children, there are large open spaces where they can play without danger, perhaps in the company of their pet dog or cat.
We have eight apartments available for guests, all well furnished, renovated, of various sizes, with very picturesque views, typical of the Tuscan hills. They have air conditioning and access to wireless internet connection.
From the swimming pool you can enjoy a breathtaking view with a terrace that overlooks a far-reaching valley surrounded by a chain of hills on which stand the ancient villages of Mensano, Monteguidi, Radicondoli with the geothermal Museum “Le Energie del Territorio” (The Territory's Energies), Pomarance and Larderello with its unique fumaroles and the evocative medieval Rock of Sillano. There is an equipped gazebo on the pool side where you can enjoy light lunches, dinners, parties, drinks, private and exclusive cocktail parties.
“Il Colombaio” is one of the first renovated farms used for hosting guests since 1989.
Since we started we have been producing extra virgin Olive Oil and wine, which you can buy directly. The family atmosphere is very welcoming and it makes it a perfect holiday place for those who love relaxation and quiet.
At “Il Colombaio” you will also find two restaurants and a wine bar.
The Restaurant “Il Colombaio” is mentioned in many famous guidebooks – one star on Michelin – and it is considered one of the best in Tuscany. A sophisticated atmosphere where you can taste regional food with a modern touch.
The Restaurant “La sosta” offers typical Tuscan food, with high quality but reasonable prices.
The wine bar is full of fine wines. An ideal destination for lovers of wine-tasting.

The restaurant will stay closed for vacation from November, 1st 2012 to March, 14th 2013.
